“Your Confidence Kits will really help our families who are struggling. The fact that the kits are so portable will be especially helpful to our families with housing instability. The laundry sheets and shampoo bars will especially be helpful, as they are small but will last a long time. We are honored to have been selected to receive your kits.”

BOOSTING CONFIDENCE THROUGH HYGIENE

The presence of dirty clothes, body odor, or bad breath can unfortunately cast a child as an outcast among their peers, impacting their enthusiasm for attending school. This directly influences their confidence to actively engage in class activities, making them less likely to pose questions or seek help. Striving to avoid drawing attention to themselves, they intentionally refrain from participation, subsequently missing out on valuable opportunities in their academic journey. Concerns about external judgments can disrupt their focus on learning, ultimately affecting their transition into adulthood.

ENHANCING SCHOOL ATTENDANCE

Children facing bullying may feign illness to avoid confronting their tormentors. For middle and high-school-aged girls, the lack of access to menstrual supplies can result in missing several days of school monthly, further hindering their academic progress.

ELEVATING SCHOOL PERFORMANCE

A student’s reluctance to participate in the classroom translates to a missed opportunity to grasp essential information required for understanding complex concepts. Consequently, this leads to subpar performance on coursework and ultimately results in poor grades. The correlation is evident: improved hygiene fosters confidence, leading to increased attendance and active class participation, creating a positive cycle that enhances overall academic performance.
